Patricia Cecilia Loveland

Patricia Cecilia Loveland passed away peacefully on November 19th at the age of 55.  Loved by all who knew her, Patty was blessed with many gifts. She attracted people of all ages and backgrounds with her empathy, generous heart and sharp wit. She was a fun, beautiful, unique individual to whom children and animals were especially drawn.

Children’s and Animal Rights were especially close to Patty’s heart. She was a fan and highly spirited (if unacknowledged) “Coach” for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Patty is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Pat and Virginia Loveland, and her cats, Simon and Bailey.  Left to mourn her loss and celebrate Patty’s memory are her siblings: Kim (Ed) McHardie, Lyn Loveland, Cyndy (John) Davis, Janine (Doug) Nickerson, Bill (Maureen) Loveland, Jim (Teri) Loveland and Mike (Linda) Loveland; nieces and nephews: Erin, Megan, Matthew, Avery, Zach, Henry, Jenna, Jason, Emily, Bradley, Ethan and Natalie; close family friend, Mary Lynn Nickerson; and extended family and friends too numerous to list. Patty also had a daughter for whom she selflessly and lovingly gave the gift of adoption in 1986.

Patty was a beloved part of a strong, close-knit family that will be forever incomplete without her. Her spirit and laughter will live on in our hearts forever.

The family will hold a private Memorial Service where we will grant Patty’s often-expressed funeral “hymn” requests, including: “Purple Rain”, “Dream On”, and her other untraditional yet favored song choices.

If you are moved to make a memorial donation, we would suggest Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.

Patty had dark, radiant eyes, an engaging voice and a charm that was authentic, never contrived. That was just the outer Patty. One could tell that the inner woman was a fiery caldron that boiled, as all humans boil, with anxious wonder about the purpose and unpredictability of life.
