Susan Ann Laird, 66 of Lenexa, Kansas died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones at her home on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Susan was born on July 11, 1955 to Harold Franklin and Viola (Pietcher) Gale in Kansas City, Missouri.
Susan was a dedicated mother to many, selfless to family and strangers alike, and always there when needed. Susan was an animal lover and she rescued many, providing them with love, shelter and medical care.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Laird and her sister, Jan Allen.
Survivors include her children Brian Walters and his wife, Karen Walters; daughter Marie Walters; grandchildren, Kayla Walters, Tristin McInteer, and Sarah Walters; great-granddaughter Harlyn Gray; step-children Justin Laird, Sean Laird, Scott Laird, and step-grandchildren; brother, J. Christopher Gale and his wife Cori Gale.
A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.
