Ruth H. (Kronmann) Holzschuh

Ruth H. Holzschuh, 83, of Overland Park passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Ruth was born in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from the Bowling Green State University and completed her education by earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  After she met her husband, Ronald, they moved to Kansas City and she spent her career teaching in the Shawnee Mission School District.  An adventurous spirit, she used her leisure time to travel to nearly 100 countries.  Always a generous soul, she volunteered for several organizations and gave graciously of her time and participated in any number of activities--even making balloon animals at children’s events.  When not traveling, she enjoyed going to shows, walking with her beloved dog Sophie, playing card games with her friends, and enjoying time with her grandson. 

She is survived by her three children:  Andrea Liebe Holzschuh, Rhonda Liesl Holzschuh, Roarke Dane (Elizabeth) Holzschuh; grandson Beckett; sister Barbara Wiciak and many friends who will miss her smile and grace.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to GoodLife Innovations or to Great Plains SPCA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022 on the east side of South Lake Park, 7601 W 86th St, Overland Park.
