Penny Smith

Penny Smith was born in Laos to the late Smith Sanit Souvanh & Nit Souvanh on March 2nd, 1973. Penny departed this earthly life on May 21st, 2023, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

Penny was a devout Buddhist and member of Wat Lao Temple in Olathe, KS. She is survived by her mother, Nit, sisters Nouachan Vorachack, Manivan Dennis and Nouken Craig Souvanh all from Kansas City, as well as daughters Chelsie Thow, Rainie and Abagail Borrego. Her eldest daughter Kristy predeceased her. Penny was the loving grandmother to Camilla, Asra, and Saturn and will be forever missed as a guiding, loving daughter, mother, and grandma.

Services are to be arranged and held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203, Tel 913-631-5566.  Visitation is Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4-6. Funeral Services are Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 12-2:30. Family and Friends are invited to join us for reflection and prayers at the family home of Nouachan and Vanh Vorachack.
