Paul Nelson Green

Paul Nelson Green, 81, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away June 2, with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. 

Paul was born on February 8, 1941, to Harry and Dona Green. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1959 and in 1961 he married Janet (Lovett).  

Paul began his career with the Consolidated Fire District #2 of Northeast Johnson County in 1964. He retired in 1991 after 26 years of dedicated and distinguished service. He then enjoyed a second career working for Home Depot for 18 years.

Survivors include his children; Paul (Terri) Green, Melissa (Drew) Magwire, Margo (Bryan) Bolding; six grandchildren, Corey Green, Kathrine Green, Daniel Magwire, Keeton (Talisha) Powell, Adam Powell, and Eli Bolding; sisters, Lois (Larry) Turner and Donna Lunak. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, parents, and sister, Jackie Baker.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Janet, at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday, June 7th at 11 am. 

Memorial Contributions in Paul's honor may be made to the Local 1371 Benevolent Fund for Firefighters or to the American Lung Association, both organizations information is provided below.
