Patricia (Tricia) Stevenson passed away on January 18, 2024, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, KS with her family at her side.  Tricia was born on December 2, 1958, in Youngstown, OH to James and Ethel LaPaze of Poland, OH.

She graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1977 and received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Youngstown State University.  She continued her education and graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration - Health Care Services from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, OH.  Later, she graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.

She devoted her life to work as a nurse and as a hospital administrator who was focused on the highest standards of patient care.  She began her career as a registered nurse and as a hospital administrator at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, OH, and then Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren, OH.  After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she worked as a hospital administrator at the Drake Center and St. Luke Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.  She then moved to Shawnee, KS where she worked as an Administrative Director at Shawnee Mission Medical Center until she retired in 2013.

Tricia was a member of the Rotary Club of Shawnee from 2001-2017. She was very active in various community service projects such as Bike Safety Rodeo, Johnson County Christmas Bureau and Taste of Shawnee Fundraiser.  She was also a Paul Harris Fellow, level 4.

Tricia is survived by three sisters, Mary Margaret (Richard) Lopushansky of The Woodlands, TX, Jean LaPaze of Normal IL, and Jacqueline (Jerry) Crittenden of Louisville, KY.  She has one niece, Allison Crittenden of Dayton, OH, and two nephews, Tyler Crittenden of Louisville, KY and David (Emily) Lopushansky of Redondo Beach, CA. She has three grandnieces: Ava Lopushansky, Riley Lopushansky, and Mia Lopushansky. She was preceded in death by her parents.
