Malvika Patel

Malvika Akshay Patel passed away suddenly on June 4th, 2022, at the age of 41 in Overland Park, Kansas, USA.

Malvika was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya but moved to Nairobi to pursue career choices and support her family. She worked in Nairobi until she met her husband, Akshay, in 2008. Their love blossomed, and they were married on April 18th, 2009, and immediately moved to Botswana after the wedding. Their family was blessed with Aanya in 2013 and Aayan in 2015. In 2020 they immigrated to settle in the United States. She worked at (Valley Park Elementary school) as an assistant teacher, and here she found her happy place. 

Malvika was known for her loving and kind personality. She was always gracious and went above and beyond when helping others. Malvika and Akshay enjoyed raising their family together. She loved being part of her children's daily routine as a mother and spent hours with them. She loved dancing and singing and was often teased about being a Bollywood star. As a person, Malvika loved being with family and always looked forward to family functions. 

Malvika is survived by Akshay Patel (husband), Aanya (daughter),  Aayan (son), Shradaben Bhatt (mother), Jagdishbhai Bhatt (father), Dhruti Bhatt (sister), and Krishan Bhatt (brother).

At 10:00 am (CST) on Friday, June 10th, 2022, a funeral service at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas, 66203.

A prayer meeting will be held from 5.00-6.00 pm Saturday, June 11th at Premier Club Pavilion, Nairobi, Kenya.
