Joel Krenzer

Joel Krenzer, 64 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on June 3rd with his wife and sisters at his side after a brief battle with cancer.

Joel was born on May 20th 1958 to Winona and Bill Krenzer.  He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1976 and married Jenny Burley in 1982.

He is survived by his wife Jenny of 40 years, his dog companion Clyde, mother Winona Krenzer, Mother-in-law Ardis Burley, sisters Cindi Krenzer, Jackie Pierce, and Susie Hartwig, brother Keith Krenzer, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by father Bill, Father-in-law Don Burley, brothers Jeff Krenzer and Jon Krenzer. 

Joel enjoyed woodworking and made several pieces of furniture for their home and many other items for family and friends.  He could repair anything, autos, plumbing, electrical, etc.  He was an excellent deck and fence builder.  

Joel loved spending time on Wyandotte County Lake on their pontoon boat with Jenny and dogs, family and friends.

He was kindhearted to animals, had several dogs over his lifetime and was a great dog daddy.  

One of his biggest accomplishments was becoming a private pilot and also getting his instrument rating.  

For many years he was in the coin operated amusement business and most recently had a business buying and selling on eBay. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, at Amos Family Funeral Home, Shawnee, Kansas from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal charity of your choice.

Anyone who knew Joel knew about his dry sense of humor, kind heart and plaid shirts!
