Janet K. Feitz

Janet (Jan) Kathryn Feitz, 86, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away June 21, 2022.  

Jan was born May 15, 1936 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Vernon and Kate Johnston. She was the youngest of six children. She was much younger than her siblings and was an adored baby sister. 

She married Maurice (Maury) Feitz in 1971. They had a long and happy marriage until his death in 2003. 

Jan worked for Ford Tractor Company for many years. She started her career in Des Moines but transferred to Kansas City early on. She retired in the late 80’s. During her time at Ford she made dear friends that she remained close to throughout her life. 

Jan was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park and was very active in the church. 

Janet is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Feitz; siblings Pauline Meyer, Dorothy Evenson, Mary Carter, Gordon Johnston and Larry Johnston. 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews who she was very good to and loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th from 9:30 am to 10:15 am, with a rosary prayed at 10:15 am and Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 am, all held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa, Kansas. Janet will be laid to rest Wednesday, June 29th in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa beside her late husband Maurice Feitz.
