James (Bill) Schneider

James William (Bill) Schneider, age 60, of Lawrence, KS passed away at his home Monday, May 22, 2023. Memorial service will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, Kansas on Sunday, May 28th at 11:00 am. Bill was born Aug. 24,1962. He was a graduate of De Soto High School and went on to follow in his father’s footsteps as a Drywaller. He was a contractor for drywall around Lawrence and the Shawnee Mission area. In addition, he was an accomplished musician and had played the organ for several Kansas City Royals home games when he was younger. He enjoyed life! He loved fishing, his truck, his Chiefs and his JayHawkers (KU)! Beloved by his many friends and family, he will be deeply missed. Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Schneider of Columbia, MO, Billy Schneider, Jr of Phoenix, AZ, and Lacey Schneider of Kansas City, KS. Grandchildren are Issac and Lily, Konan, Kopeland and Lowyn, James and Aaron. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy Schneider and brother Michael. Also survived by his sisters Linda Schneider of San Francisco, Barbara Hughes of Shawnee Mission, KS, Elizabeth Schmidt of Tuson, AZ and his brother Frank Schneider of Pattensburg, MO.
