Jack William Arbaugh Jr.

Jack William Arbaugh Jr., 64, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away unexpectedly after open-heart surgery on Friday, May 13, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. He loved sports, and the Kansas City Chiefs were his favorite team. Everyone is asked to wear Chiefs gear/colors to celebrate his life.

Jack was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and the son of Jack William Arbaugh Sr. and Juanda Moore, who preceded him in death.
Jack and Shelley recently celebrated 36 years of marriage. They have two children, Natalie and Nicholas (Nicholas preceded him in death). One of Jack’s favorite things was coming up with projects, like sealing the driveway, for Natalie’s new house. Other surviving family members include sister, Joyce Telford and brother, Patrick Stevens.

He worked as an auto mechanic, and was always the first to jump in and help his friends and neighbors if they needed anything. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others.

Jack’s last act of selflessness was donating his organs. He enjoyed hanging out with a group of lifelong friends he called, “the boys”. Jack loved dogs and spoiling his granddog by cooking an egg for him when Sheldon was around for breakfast.

Jack will be laid to rest at a later date in Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri.
