Evelyn Wagner Obituary

Evelyn Louise Wagner, age 89, Roeland Park, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Shawnee Post Acute Rehabilitation Center’s assisted living facility where she had lived since suffering a debilitating stroke in 2015. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 28th at 10:00 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 at Nall Avenue Baptist Church, 6701 Nall Avenue, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.

Evelyn was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on March 21, 1934. She enjoyed living in the Kansas City Area for the past 30 years and was a member and regular volunteer at Nall Avenue Baptist Church.  Even after suffering her stroke, she made every effort to attend Sunday school by phone and watch the recorded Sunday service. She also enjoyed visits from friends she made through church as well as the local garden club.

She is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Zelma Glenn, her sister, Sharon Glenn, and her husband of 37 years, Arthur L. Wagner. Survivors include brothers, Eldon Glenn of Modesto, California, Harold Glenn of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Sherman Glenn of Turlock, California, daughter, Laurie Bulcock of Overland Park, Kansas, and son, Vernon Wagner of Oldsmar, Florida, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
