Eleanore J. Miller

Eleanore Jane Miller, 87, passed away on May 16th, 2022.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W. 75th St., Shawnee, KS.  A visitation will be held before Mass from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.  Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.

Eleanore was born January 8th, 1935 in Leavenworth, KS.  She graduated from Immaculata High School and The University of St. Mary, Leavenworth, KS.  She was employed by the Department of the Army of the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS for three years, then transferred to the Federal Aviation Administration, Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1990 after thirty-one years of service.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, enjoying volunteer work and the many activities of the church.  She was a Eucharistic Minister, Peer Minister and Hospitality Minister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane Marie and John Biringer Miller, Sr. and her brother, John Biringer Miller, Jr.  Survivors are her sister, Meredith T. Collins (Jim) and many nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, The Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools, 320 N. Broadway, Leavenworth, KS 66048 or to a charity of your choice.
