Darrell "Dan" Dingwerth

Darrell Daniel Dingwerth (Dan), passed away peacefully at home April 26th, 2022, surrounded by his family. 

Dan was born October 12th, 1947, in Kansas City, KS to Howard and Mary Dingwerth. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West Highschool in 1966 where he went on to start his career at Southwestern Bell.  During that time, he was very active in the Telephone Pioneers of America and retired in 2001 with over 35 years of service.

Dan was a proud US Navy veteran and served one tour of duty in Vietnam in 1968.  He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed hunting, camping and canoeing and was a huge Kansas City Royals fan.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother Mary (2004) and father Howard (2016).  He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Diana, his sister Debbie, daughters Laurie Hoover (Steve), Heather Otto, step-daughter Michele Roberts (Nick), step-son Bret Guillaume (Kristen), grandchildren Cole, Megan, Sydney, Reece, Grace, Kennedy and Morgen and his 4 great-grandchildren, Chevy, Ryatt, Brynlee and Brystol. Dan will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. There will be a graveside service for immediate family Tuesday May 3rd and a celebration of life is being planned for early June.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
