Wilma Whiteford

Wilma Whiteford, 82, Shawnee, Kansas, went home to the Lord Friday, March 16, 2012, at her home.

Wilma was born May 3, 1929, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Ernest and Jewell Hufford. She was a graduate of Argentine High School. On February 20, 1949, Wilma married Ivan Whiteford in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and past member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ivan Whiteford; two sons, Dennis Whiteford and wife, Donna, Paola, Kansas and David Whiteford and wife, Hope, Raleigh, North Carolina; sister, Joy Stephens, Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Kelly Whiteford, Keith Whiteford, Colin Whiteford and Charlotte Whiteford; and four great grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Hayden and Reghan.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
