William "Billy" E. Harper

Born in Topeka, Kansas, January 24, 1938. Bill attended Topeka High School and held a BA and Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Married to Beverley Baird Harper for 57 years. She proceeded him in death. He had 3 children Heather Harper Barboza, Overland Park, Kansas, Harlan William Harper, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Hiliary Harper Anderson, Renton, Washington, and two grandchildren, William Paul Barboza, Los Angeles, California and Zoe Beverly Anderson.

William had 31 years at Southwestern Bell.  A lifelong musician and drummer, William started the Billy Harper Band and played in various venues all around Southern California.  In his retirement he spent many hours volunteering for various organizations. He will be missed by his many friends and family.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., June 11, 2022, at Lakeview Village-Northpointe Lobby, 14100 W. 90th Terrace, Lenexa, Kansas.
