Virgie Elaine Balderston

Virgie Elaine (Lundquist) Balderston, 87, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. Virgie was born September 23, 1931 to Carl and Mildred Lundquist near Clyde, Kansas. Virgie was a wife, a mother, and a homemaker. She married Loren D. Balderston on January 18, 1948 in Clay Center, Kansas and moved to this area in the same year. She is survived by her husband, Loren and her three sons, Mark Balderston, D.C. of Shawnee, Kansas, Lance Balderston of Overland Park, Kansas and Kurt Balderston of Wildwood, Missouri; five granddaughters, Christi Bartlett, M.D., Lauren Cloyd, Rachel Balderston, Addie Balderston and Lilly Balderston; eight great grandchildren; and brother, Gerald Lundquist. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Adeline Hammar, Lois Blad, Bernice Horkman Laurann McGee; brothers,  Roland Lundquist, Verlin Lundquist, Verlin Lundquist, Quentin Lundquist, Clair Lundquist and Leroy Lundquist.

Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
