Vernon L. Lyon, age 89, passed away April 30, 2013, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.
Vernon was born March 20, 1924, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Arthur and Mamie Lyon. Vernon owned and operated B&V Auto Park and retired from Jensen Salsbury. Vernon ran a stable in Leawood, Kansas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, Kansas.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife Marjorie; daughter, Susan Gordon (Larry); son Thomas Lyon; grandchildren, Misty and Don Gordon; and great-grandchildren, Drew Gordon, and Daylon Edie. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday May 3, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
