Troy "Leon" Teeters, 91, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Leon was born in Humboldt, Kansas, to Charles and Alice (Hodgson) Teeters. After proudly serving in World War II, he married Cleadus Estes on Jan. 18, 1947, in Kansas City, KS. Leon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee for 61 years. He and his wife, enjoyed many years of traveling with their camping club, the Jayhawk Ramblers.

Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Cleadus, of 63 years. He is survived by his children, Sharon (Bill) MacLean, Wanda (Stan) Monger, Pam (John) Phillips and Kevin (Joyce) Teeters; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2016, at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Amos Family Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery.
