Thomas G. Coleman

Thomas G. Coleman, 71, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom was born in Kansas City, MO. He served in the Naval Air Reserves. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He was also a very proud supporter of our military and great country.

He is survived by a special friend, Gayle Faulkner, of Overland Park, KS; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth and her husband, Richard Toohey, of Carlsbad, CA and Carol Anne and her husband, John Sulzen, of Arlington, TX; nephew, Mike Sulzen and family and nieces, Shelley Reetz and Lynn Reichert and their families.

Visitation will be 9 - 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
