Thelma I. Lewensten, 84, of Shawnee, KS passed away Aug. 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Dr. Alfred J. Lewensten, Sr. and a son Alfred J. Lewensten, Jr. Thelma is survived by her son Charles W. Lewensten (Jill), daughter Linda L. Witten (Tyson), grandchildren; Steven Housenga, Melissa Knoll, Corey Hruby, John Lewensten (Ann), Michael Noland (Stacie), Maggie Lewensten, Amy Konsewicz (Eddie), Kate Lewensten, and great-grandchildren; Neva, Morgan, Carter, William, Kyler, AJ, Gracelyn, Saylor, Cecilie, and Lexy.
A visitation will be held Wed. Aug. 28th from 9 to 10 am at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will follow at 10 am also at the funeral home. Burial will be in PleasantViewCemetery.
Contributions in Thelma's memory may be made to Great Plains SPCA.
