Tanya LaRae Miller (née Depew), 57, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026.
Born on January 19, 1969, in Wichita, Kansas, Tanya was the cherished daughter of Larry A. Depew and Ruth E. Depew. She lived a life defined by faith, compassion, generosity, and a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued.
Tanya earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, before receiving her master’s degree from the University of Kansas. Throughout a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years in healthcare and dental operations, she became a respected executive leader known for mentoring teams, improving organizations, and building lasting relationships. Most recently, she served as Regional Operations Manager for Gen4 Dental Partners, supporting practices throughout Kansas and Missouri. Colleagues admired her leadership, integrity, and genuine investment in the success of those around her.
Above every professional accomplishment, Tanya’s greatest joy was her family.
She was the devoted wife of Wayne Miller and a loving mother to Jordan Hernandez and her husband, Nick, of Kansas City, Kansas; George Miller and his wife, Allison, of Shawnee, Kansas; and Rachel Miller and fiancée Erik Joens of Rapid City, South Dakota. She adored her grandchildren—Max, Mila, and Noah—who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. Becoming “Mimi” was one of her greatest blessings, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.
She is lovingly survived by her parents, Ruth and Larry; husband, Wayne; her children, Jordan, George, and Rachel; her siblings, Tamara and Justin Neff, Damon Depew and Sherry Junck; beloved nieces and nephews, Kaleb Depew, Blake and Rylee Neff; numerous cousins; and an incredible circle of lifelong friends.
Tanya’s family and faith were the foundation of her life. She faithfully attended church, volunteered her time reading to young children, mentoring teens, and quietly looked for opportunities to serve others. She was also an active member of AA, where she found strength, encouragement, and lifelong friendships. In return, she became a source of hope and support for many walking the same path.
Those fortunate enough to know Tanya will remember her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and remarkable generosity. She never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day, whether through a thoughtful gift, an encouraging conversation, or simply calling when someone needed her most. She loved to travel, celebrated life’s special moments with enthusiasm, and was known for always looking elegant and put together.
Tanya’s legacy is one of kindness, grace, resilience, and service. The countless lives she touched are a testament to a life well lived. While her family mourns her passing, they take comfort in knowing her love, faith, and joyful spirit will continue to live on through her family, her friends, and everyone blessed to know her.
