Shirley Ann Whitesell

Shirley Ann Whitesell, 66, Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, at her home.

Shirley was born May 1, 1946, in Allen, Oklahoma, to Walter S. and Lois L. Hines. She received her Associates degree in Accounting from Kansas City Kansas Community College and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Shirley was an accountant for over 40 years and was employed with Bridges and Yallaly CPA's, retiring in 2011. She was a member and secretary of Faith Temple Family Worship Center for over thirty years and a youth softball coach at Turner Recreation.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Glendale Whitesell; three daughters, Glenna Dean Caldwell, Kansas City, Kansas, Laura Ann Funk, Huntsville, Alabama, and Sandra LeAnne Clark, Overland Park, Kansas; two sons, Johnny Wayne Whitesell, Kansas City, Kansas, and James Steven Whitesell, Wier, Kansas; sister, Loretta Suzi Burrows, Liberal, Kansas; brother, Morson Whitt, Kansas City, Kansas; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.; burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.
