Raytown

With profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Sean Lamar Harvey Booth, who left this world on August 27, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on November 18, 1980, in Milwaukee, Sean's journey through life was marked by resilience, strength, and a dedication to both his faith and the community that he cherished dearly.

Sean's professional life was a testament to his unwavering work ethic and commitment. Employed as a warehouse worker with Sauer Brands, Inc. in Gardner, Kansas, Sean took immense pride in his contributions. Known for his reliability and the meaningful connections he forged with coworkers, he brought integrity and passion to every task and interaction.

Outside of work, Sean's interests were diverse and deeply held. He enjoyed morning walks, nature, race car driving, and a strong love for animals. His love for life was evident but his true heart lay with his faith and his family. A devoted member of the Church of Christ and Deaf Liberty congregation, Sean was steadfast in his spiritual walk. His church membership was a source of strength and purpose, and he carried the values of love, forgiveness, and community into every part of his life.

As a child, Sean participated in commercials for the United Way, a reflection of his early spirit of connection and community involvement. One of his notable achievements was an award-winning speech delivered in American Sign Language at a young age, earning recognition from the State of Kansas at the Kansas School for the Deaf. This achievement underscored his remarkable communication skills and deep pride in the Deaf community, serving as a beacon of inspiration to those around him.

Sean is preceded in death by his mother Linda C. Wallace, (Mother), Harvey "Cigar” Blackmon (father), and Syedda E.M. Woods, (sister). He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Sasha Booth, who was the light of his life, along with his sisters: Stacy Singleton and her spouse, Clody; Shirelle Booth; Shalonda Myles and her spouse, Beau; and Samantha Mahoney. Sean will also be deeply missed by numerous other loving family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Memorial Services will be held at the Amos Family Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6th with a visitation from 3 to 4:00pm, and a service beginning at 4:00pm. For those unable to attend the service in person, please CLICK HERE to watch the livestream. Please note that no photography or video recording will be allowed. An interpreter will be present, and gifts and monetary contributions are welcome and greatly appreciated.

In honor of Sean’s life, there will be a special time for family and friends to share reflections. Each person will be given up to two minutes to speak words of love, encouragement, or a cherished memory. This is a time to celebrate Sean’s spirit, honor his journey, and uplift one another in unity. We kindly ask that all words shared remain positive and respectful.

Following the service, all are invited to join together for a fellowship meal in celebration of Sean’s life. May we find comfort in our shared memories and the light Sean brought into our lives.
