Sandra Lee Jordan, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on November 12, 2025.
Sandie was born on March 8, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Lucille Buck.
When Sandie was young, she moved to Chillicothe, Missouri where she graduated high school and then attended the University of Central Missouri where she received a degree in Home Economics and met her future husband, Max Jordan. She taught briefly at Shawnee Mission East High School before she and Max moved to Dallas, where she started working for Texas Power and Light. Max was then drafted into the Army and stationed in Germany where she would later join him with their first child Jennifer. After Max was honorably discharged, they came back and settled in Kansas City, where she and Max started two very successful businesses together.
Throughout her life, Sandie was deeply rooted in her faith and devoted countless hours to serving her church community. She taught Bible study classes, guiding others with patience, compassion, and a genuine love for Scripture. Sandie was full of life, and her smile could light up a room. She loved her husband, kids, grandkids and grand dogs alike. She enjoyed singing, traveling and never missed a chance to dance. Her strength and steadfast devotion touched everyone who learned from her, and her commitment to sharing God’s word left a lasting impact those around her. Her legacy of faith, service, and encouragement will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Sandie is survived by her children, Jennifer (Tony), Eric (Sarah) and Heather (Aivars); her sister Patricia and brother Lyle; and six grandchildren, Taylor (Parker), Makenzie, Talis, Otomars, Miles and Avah; and three great grandchildren Ruth, Naomi and Levi. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 Years, Max and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on December 22, 2025, at Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, 22875 W. 255th St. Paola, KS 66071. Visitation will begin at 10:00, followed by an 11:00 memorial service and short gravesite prayer in the cemetery.
