Salena Kelley

Salena Kelley, 88, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away in her home February 18, 2012.

Salena was a precious woman with an endlessly big heart. She cherished time spent with her beloved family. She loved her 6 granddaughters, and 4 great-grandchildren, including those who were adopted, as if they were her very own. Many years of memories were created around her kitchen table and her family will reflect on these with great fondness in times to come. Through the examples that she's set, her unconditional love will live on for generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leon Kelley. She is survived by her sons Leon Kelley, Jr. (Joan), Dennis Kelley (Lois), and daughter Linda Mehsikomer (Arnold). She was a member of Merriam Christian Church for 63 years.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
