Robert D. Wilson, 72, of Paola, KS, passed away, Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home.
Robert was born in Kansas City, MO. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a pipe fitter for Owen's Corning.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wilson, Jr., in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Wilson, of the home; a daughter, Teresa (Nate) Beck, of Overland Park, KS; brothers, Richard Wilson, Merriam, KS and Burt Wilson, Mesa, AZ; a sister, Billie, Pleasanton, KS; six grandchildren, Jessica Bathurst, Amanda Coots, Sara Beck, Melissa Fischer, Lauren Beck, and Kyle Beck; seven great grandchildren, Cambria, Jordan, Garrett, Slade, Briley, Kennedy, and Jolee.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home with burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions to Interim Home Health and Hospice.
