Robert J. Rowland III, 54, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on Feb. 19, 2016. He was born on April 28, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA to Dr. Robert Jr. and Carole (Ricords) Rowland. Robert was a network systems engineer at the University of Kansas Medical Center. As an avid environmentalist who took pride in bettering his community he would often bike or run to work. Robert would find any opportunity he could to travel, and is said to never have met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his father. Robert is survived by his wife, Lesa Petri, daughters, Phoebe Rowland, Katlin Rowland, mother, Carole Rowland, brother, Patrick Brennan, and sisters, Maria Danielle Rowland, Francine Woodcock.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24 from 4:00-6:00 pm.
