Robert Lee "Doc" Smith

Robert Lee “Doc” Smith, 96, Shawnee, KS passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be 12-1:00 pm Tuesday, August 2 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Robert was born August 17, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Albert A. and Edith Smith. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. He married Margaret DeVore in 1950. Robert worked at Hunt Electric for 70 years retiring in 2011.

Robert is preceded in death by two sons, Albert and Robert Smith. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret Smith; two daughters, Sarah Graham, Overland Park, KS and Sherry Smith, Shawnee, KS; son, Richard Smith, Lee’s Summit, MO; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
