Robert A. Harrell, Jr.

Robert A. Harrell, 87, Milhaven, Mission, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at his daughter’s home (Kathy H. Meadows) in North Carolina.

Robert was born December 6, 1925, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Leona E. Ricker and Jess A. Wyatt. He was a graduate of Turner High School. He earned an electrical degree serving in the US Navy. He worked for TWA 35 years as an electrical engineer and a training instructor for three years after retirement at TWA.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Jesse A. Harrell on May 2, 2001. Survivors include his three daughters, Terrie A. O'Shaughnessy, Petaluma, California, Sherry B. Portlock, Arvada, Colorado, Kathy H. Meadows, Cape Carteret, North Carolina; son, Robert D. Harrell, Countryside, Kansas; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 11:45 a.m,. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 11:00-11:45 a.m., Thursday at the church.

All are invited to the inurnment at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W. 75th Street, Shawnee, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W 62nd Street, Mission, Kansas 66202 in honor of Robert A. Harrell, Jr.
