Richard Waters

Richard E. Waters, 59, Merriam, KS passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Richard was born June 21, 1950 in Quincy, IL. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Richard was retired from AT&T and IBM. He was an avid wood worker and NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife, Teri (Dawson) Waters; daughters, Sara Goodman, Lenexa, KS and Erin Waters, Cincinnati, OH; sons and their spouses, Ross Waters and Liz, Overland Park, KS and Kyle Waters and Lea Ann, Merriam, KS; parents, Forrest E. and Alice (Black) Waters, Quincy, IL; three sisters, Cathy Austin, CA; Joann Waters, TX and Susan Brown, WA; two brothers, Jeff Waters and Bill Waters, both of IL; and mother-in-law, Velma Dawson, Merriam, KS.

Memorial visitation

Memorial visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
