Raymond J. Soetaert

Raymond J. Soetaert, 92, of Shawnee, KS, passed away, Sunday, November 13, 2016 surrounded by his family. Raymond was born in Kansas City, KS to Peter and Alida DeBrabandt Soetaert. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was a lifelong mechanic in the Shawnee area. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2014. Survivors include his children, Susan (Robert Foos) Soetaert, Long Island, NY; Henry (Rosemary) Soetaert, LaCygne, KS; Rick (Jan) Soetaert, Shawnee, KS; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Friday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 pm, Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home with a Rosary at 5 pm.
