Phyllis (Critchfield) Lamons

Phyllis R. LaMons, 92, of Mission, Kansas died Friday, November 4, 2022, at Advent Health - Shawnee Mission. A graveside service will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, J. B. LaMons, her parents, her six siblings, and son-in-law, Mike Brodersen.

Born January 26, 1930, to Herbert Mason and Jessie M. (Watson) Critchfield in Geary, Oklahoma. She was known for her infectious laugh, her love of family, and her ardent support of her favorite sports teams, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Cubs, and the Kansas City Royals. A professional sous and pastry chef, her family personally appreciated her superior apple pies. The children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were also the beneficiaries of Phyllis'  love of quilting, each receiving a handmade treasure upon high school graduation. Phyllis was deeply loved by all who knew her, and we celebrate a life well-lived.

Survivors include her children: Vicki L. Brodersen, Gary D. LaMons (Karen) and William C. LaMons (Kat);
grandchildren, Jason W. LaMons (Angela), Eric B. LaMons (Deana), Cinnamon L. Lichtenfeld, Jennifer R.

Conner (Chris), Chris R. LaMons (Jess), Neil A. Rudisill (Lisa), Kate C. Falatic (Asher), and great grandchildren: Tatiana LaMons, Izaya Lichtenfeld, Xander LaMons, Brox Lichtenfeld, Brian LaMons, Emmaline Conner, Zoe Conner, Emily LaMons, Angus LaMons
