Peggy Jo 'Jody" Fellows, a beloved wife, sister, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on July 20,2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loved ones at the Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas- Born on April 7, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jody Lived a life full of love, laughter, and resilience.
Jody was a graduate of the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas and pursued some college education before embarking on a successful career in accounting, bookkeeping, and mortgage processing. Her attention to detail and dedication to her work were unmatched, traits that she carried into every aspect of her life.
A proud and devoted animal lover, Jody held a special place in her heart for all dogs and animals. She cherished her time on the water, boating with her beloved pontoon, and found joy in bowling and attending craft fairs with her sisters. Jody loved the simple pleasures of life, such as taking trips through the back roads and spending precious moments with her family.
Jody's thrifty nature was well-known; she was a steadfast believer in clipping coupons and saving a buck wherever she could. She was a member of every grocery store she frequented and took great pride in her ability to find a good deal. Jody never met a stranger, often making friends wherever she went, and her generosity and kindness left a tasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She fought long and hard against chronic liver disease, enduring years of pain and suffering with immense courage and dignity. Jody is preceded in death by her father, Robert Austin; mother, Betty Austin; brother, Gary Austin; and stepson, Nate Fellows, Jody leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her husband and friend of 48 years, Gordon Fellows, her sisters, Sharon Robson and Susie Beyer; brother -in-law, Alan Beyer; sister-in-law, Vicky Austin; stepson, Eric Fellows, and daughter-in-law, Shirin Fellows. Her legacy continues through her granddaughter, two grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services to honor Jody's life will be announced at a later date. Her family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the support and love shown during this difficult time.
