Orley Leroy Willis

“Leroy” Willis, 94, passed away in Liberty, MO on Thursday, March 22, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1930, to John Leroy and Edna (Banks) Willis.

He grew up in Blythedale, MO, and graduated from high school. He was later drafted and served two years in the Korean War in the Tank Unit.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geraldine Willis; his sister, Eva; brother, Clayton; brother, Marvin; sister, Collen; step-children, Phyllis Bowman and Vickie Ghadyani.

Leroy is survived by his children, Mitchell Leroy (Kristy) Willis, George Kevin (Julie) Willis, Rhonda (Rick) Bernal, Janet (Bill) Nauman and step-children, Craig Rutherford, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Leroy loved working on cars and passed this knowledge on to his children, grandchildren and others. He also loved tinkering with just about everything from watches to motorcycles. He was known as “Mr. Fix It”.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Amos Family Funeral Home.
