Olive “Lucille” Stempel

Olive "Lucille" Stempel, 89, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Lucille was preceded in death by one son Arthur J. Wyman, and her husband Marvin H. Stempel. Survivors include two daughters Jan (Phil) Wood, Shawnee, Kansas and Karen (John) Jacobson, Burnsville, Minnesota; two sisters Irene Gardner, Danbury, Connecticut and Virginia Zipp, Overland Park, Kansas; and four grandchildren Kristin Wood, Haley Wood, Kylie and Shelby Jacobsen.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the chapel with burial to follow the service in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
