Mary Ann (Spillman) Gardner

Mary Ann (Spillman) Gardner, Shawnee, Kansas, was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on August 12, 1925. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 2, 2022.

Mary Ann worked for many years at Farmer's Insurance and the Mission Police Department as police and court clerk.

She married Charles C. Gardner, Jr. on November 22, 1947, and was preceded in death by him in November of 2004.

Mary Ann enjoyed quilting, reading, music, and spending time with her family and church friends. She was formerly a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Shawnee, and presently a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her three children Patricia A Rosey (Calvin), of Ottawa, KS, Charles C. Gardner (Ann) of Wells, NY, Russell D. Gardner (Tina) of Iola, KS; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, as well as numerous other extended family members who called her "Grandma," all whom she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10 am on Saturday, November 12th, both at the Amos Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest following the service at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee, Kansas. Contributions may be made to Shawnee United Methodist Church.
