Mary Elizabeth Innis-Jochem, 67, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. Mary was born December 17, 1958 to Thomas & Doris (Tull) Innis in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1976 and worked at The Coleman Implement in Bonner Springs, KS for 37 years. She then worked for DuPont/IIF for 9 years before retiring in 2022.

Mary enjoyed anything outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and watching all of her flowers blooming every spring, was an avid biker and loved to travel. She participated in the MS-150 rides, completing 13 rides, and also participated in the Bike across Kansas twice. She enjoyed quilting and created many beautiful quilts for her family. She also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Docey Dandies of Gardner, KS with her husband Rob, making many lifelong friends over ten years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Tim in 2018. She is survived by her husband Rob of 23 years, of the home; son, Christopher Barncord (Leetice) of Cape Coral, Florida, and daughter Karen Reynolds (Cortez), Dallas, Texas; her sisters, Kathleen Innis, Shawnee, KS, Linda Wilhite, Lawrence, KS and LuEllen Slaughter, Olathe, KS; brothers Stephen Innis, Olathe, KS and Jon Innis Leavenworth, KS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Dylan, Caitlyn, Marissa, Alycia, Kaleb, Brennan, Rylan and Mila, along with many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2026 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 10:00am, with the memorial service following at 11:00am. Mary will be laid to rest at Holy Angels Cemetery in Basehor, KS following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Gardner Historical Society or the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
