Lena Bramlett

Lena B. Bramlett, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lena was born on June 24, 1930, in Roanoke, Virginia, where she spent her early years growing up and developing the strong faith and values that guided her throughout her life.

A faithful follower of God, Lena was a devoted member of Blue River Church of Christ, where her love for the Lord and commitment to her faith were evident to everyone who knew her. Her life reflected the words of Scripture: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:1,6).

Lena was known for her beautiful heart and generous spirit. She loved cooking and sharing meals with family and friends, tending to her garden, and working hard throughout her life. She had a bubbly personality, loved to laugh, joke, and have fun, and she never hesitated to help someone in need. Anyone who knew Lena knew that she loved everyone and would do anything for anyone.

Her life of kindness, faith, and service leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. As written in Scripture, “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23).

Lena is survived by her daughter, Frances Stevens; her grandson, Brett Stevens; her granddaughters, Lesa Glenn and Jacqueline Bramlett; her great-grandsons, Daveion Stevens, Tra Stevens, and Karter Stevens; and her great-granddaughter, DaNajiaha Stevens.

A graveside service honoring Lena’s life will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Lena will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her faith, her laughter, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
