Laura Diane Schottler, lovingly known as Lori, was born on January 25, 1960, in St. Charles, Missouri. She passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2026, in Tonganoxie, Kansas, at the age of 66.

Lori loved deeply and gave freely of herself to the people around her. She found happiness in her garden, in time spent beside her husband, with her four beloved dogs, and in being surrounded by family. She had a special gift for making people feel cared for and for turning ordinary days, family gatherings, and holidays into something memorable and magical.

Lori earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, before completing her master’s degree in Speech Pathology at Kansas State University. She worked in education for many years, bringing the same patience and care to her work that she gave so naturally to those around her.

She was also an important part of the family business, Paramount Landscape, owned by her loving husband, Karl. Laura gave her time, energy, and support wherever it was needed. Beyond the meaningful role she played in helping Paramount Landscape grow and thrive, Lori was a devoted homemaker who poured herself into creating a warm, welcoming, and loving home for her family.

One of Lori’s greatest joys was being Nana. She cherished her grandchildren—Lil Iannazzi, Kalli, Easton and Riley Parker, Evelyn and Steele Seaman, and Audrey King—and treasured watching their lives and personalities unfold. Being part of their lives brought her tremendous joy, and the love she gave them will remain with them always.

Lori shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Karl John Schottler II. Together, they built a life filled with family, laughter, adventure, hard work, and the beauty of everyday moments. Their 44 years married and 51 year together were rooted in devotion, companionship, and a love that shaped the family around them.

Her legacy lives on through her daughters, Rebecca Parker and her husband Jeff, Jessica Seaman and her husband Brady, and Kristine Iannazzi, as well as through her grandchildren she adored.

Lori leaves behind a family who will miss her beyond words, along with countless memories of her kindness, creativity, generosity, and joy. She had a way of making life feel warmer, brighter, and much more magical simply by being there.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into her family will continue to grow—in the traditions she created, the stories that will be told, the gardens that will bloom, and the ordinary moments her family will forever see a little more magically because of her.

Family and friends are invited to gather and support the family on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Amos Family Funeral Home and a memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00pm.
