Larry D. Clark

Larry D. Clark, age 73, passed away Feb. 21st , 2023 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the second child of Albert H. Clark and Gladys L. Clark. He was born and spent his entire life in the Kansas City area.

As a child he was involved in church, YMCA, and Boy Scouts Troop 6, where he earned his Eagle Scout Award. As a youth he liked all sports especially swimming, sailing, and canoeing and was an excellent water skier.

Larry went to school in Wyandotte County and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1968. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in biology from Kansas State University. For several years after college, he worked as a laboratory technician for a chemical company, he then trained to be a welder. He became a master welder and was a long-time member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2 and the National Sheet Metal Workers.

Larry, was a talented individual who could learn and master skills quickly. During his working career he also worked with HVAC systems and did tile work. When not working Larry enjoyed racing motor cycles, go-carts and cars. He also liked to repair and work on anything mechanical, especially cars and motorcycles. He was fond of animals particularly his cats and was an avid reader.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his long-time girlfriend Melody Sunday of KS; a brother Terry Clark (Marita) of MO; a sister Janet Pollet (Keith) of KS; nephews Travis Clark (Casey) of MO and Kendal Clark (Tisha) of MO; as well as numerous cousins.
