Kimberly Sue Koonse

Kimberly Sue Koonse, born on October 9, 1966, in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 10, 2026, in Merriam, Kansas, at the age of 59.

Kimberly graduated from Turner High School and furthered her education at Emporia State University. She dedicated her professional life to the field of business analysis, where she made significant contributions over her extensive career. For more than five years, she served as a business analyst with Fiserv. Prior to that, she spent eight years with Synchrony and devoted 25 years to GE Capital, marking a long and successful journey in her chosen profession.

Kimberly had a passion for her work and was highly regarded by her colleagues and all who knew her. Her commitment and dedication were a testament to her character, and her presence will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her beloved parents, father Charles Koonse and mother Sandra Sharp, along with Sandra's husband, Dale, her brother Bradley Koonse his wife Beth, and her sister, Kelli Johnson and her husband Lance. Kimberly leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, friends and family members who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

May she rest in peace, knowing the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
