Judy was born on September 13, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Prairie Village, Kansas, at the age of 70. Judy was a spirited and dedicated individual who touched the lives of many around her.

Judy was a proud graduate of Center High School, class of 1972. Her professional journey included a fulfilling career at Honeywell, where her commitment and work ethic were evident to all who worked with her. Outside of her professional life, Judy had a passion for travel that brought her great joy and many cherished memories. She was an avid bowler, enjoying the camaraderie and competition of the sport. A devoted Chiefs fan, she cheered them on through every season with unwavering support.

As a mother, Judy was tireless in her support and love, never missing a school or sports event for her children. She was a proud grandmother, fondly referring to her grandchildren as her “6-pack,” a testament to the deep love and pride she held for them.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Billy Patton and Caroline Montes (Kiesel), Paul Montes and former spouse Ernie Bellamy. She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. Her children: Jamie Parsons (Joe) and Kerri Roots (Ryan). Her grandchildren: Lizzy Ward (Kylie), Haley, Emily, John, Cole and Ruby. Her brother, Chuck Patton. 

Her legacy of love, dedication, and endless energy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm with a visitation starting at 1:00 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.
