John Louis Schuberth, 90, died Friday, May 7,, 2010, at The Forum Healthcare in Overland Park, Kansas.
John was born July 11, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois, and attended high schools in Chicago and Memphis, Tennessee, before enlisting in the Army Air Corp. In WWII he served in the 305th Service Anti-Submarine Battalion in the China-Burma-India Group, stationed in India. John worked for Merichem Company in Houston for 27 years. After an illness, he and Vernice moved to Overland in 2006.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years Vernice, his son Gary, daughter-in-law Robin, grandchildren Brittany, Erin, and Austin, and great grandson Jackson.
Graveside Service
A private ceremony will be held at Leavenworth National Veteran's Cemetery on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
