John F. Helm, Sr, 94, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away December 14, 2010.
John was born January 28, 1916, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Clyde and Minnie May (Goode) Helm. He retired from GM in 1984 after over 25 years of employment.
John was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn B. (McCartie) Helm of 72 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Johnson and husband Harold; son, John F. Helm, Jr. and wife Jill; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Baskett.
Visitation and Memorial Service
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2010, with a memorial service following at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
