John R. Everard

John R. Everard, born January 11, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 8, 2026, in Shawnee, Kansas, at the age of 67.

John dedicated 47 years to a career in Food Service, demonstrating unwavering commitment and professionalism throughout his life. A graduate of SM North High School, he was a talented athlete who lettered in cross country. He had a lifelong passion for sports, with a special enthusiasm for the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoyed bowling in his leisure time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Margie A. Everard, and his brothers, Fr. Robert Everard, Philip Everard, James (Matt) Everard, and David Everard.

John is survived by his sister, Mary Sharpe, and her husband Doug; his brothers Tom Everard and wife Sandra, Joe Everard and wife Cathy, and Tony Everard and wife Susan; as well as several nieces and a nephew. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Mary and Doug Sharpe for their loving care and support.

John will be remembered for his dedication to family and friends and his love of sports. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and humor that will be cherished by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Shawnee Gardens and the friends he made there for all they did while taking care of John.

A private graveside service will be held in John's honor.
