Jessica Louise Hugunin

Jessica Louis Hugunin born November 14, 1949, passes away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at Kaw Vallet Rehab and Nursing Facility. Jessica worked for Shawnee Mission Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the pediatric unit. Jessie loved babies and children and did a wonderful job of comforting the children, making their hospital stay a little brighter.

Jessie had a lot of friends and was loved by all. She loved playing dominoes, crocheting, and made many quilts to give to family. She also enjoyed outdoor activities.

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Jesse S. Hugunin and mother, Rachel C. Hugunin; her brothers, Roger E. Hugunin, Richard L. Hugunin and Laurence E. Hugunin and sister Catherine M. Briggs-Freyauldenhoven.

Jessica leaves behind her sisters, Ruth A. Hugunin (Hartung), Judith K. Hugunin, and Teresa M. Hugunin (Gardner) as well as several nieces, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jessie's services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 7023 W 71st St, Overland Park, KS 66204, with a visitation from 9:30am to 10:15am followed by a Rosary 10:15am. Mass will being at 10:30. Jessie will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery following Mass.
