Jenny was born on June 24, 1971, to Patricia Ann Ptak and Thomas John Ptak in Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing playfulness, light, and love into the lives of all who knew her. Though her words were few, her spirit spoke volumes.
With an infectious smile, she taught those around her about perseverance and the grace of presence. Her love for music, fun, and the simple joys of life—from ripping paper to playing with her favorite toys—reminded us all to find happiness in each moment.
Through her years at Katherine Carpenter School and L'Arche Heartland Academy, she touched every heart she met along the way. Her life was enriched by those who honored her dignity, celebrated her spirit, and held her close through the good times and the challenges.
Jenny was surrounded by the love and devotion of her mother, father, and siblings. Their support provided the environment for her to shine. She was also blessed by the love and prayers of her extended family and faithful friends who continue to hold her in their hearts.
Jenny is preceded in death by her father, Thomas John Ptak; grandparents, William & Jean Eaton and Thomas & Mary Ptak; godparents, James and Kathleen Eaton; and cousin, Sandra Henry. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Ann Ptak, sisters: Alison Ptak (James), Andrea Moore (Bruce), and Elizabeth Pellum; nieces: Rachel (Patrick), Ashley (Brian), Candace, Cecily (Andrew), and Brooklyn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
