Jeannine Louise Franken, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by her family while at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Born on September 7, 1949, in Iola, KS, she was 76.

A dedicated hairstylist for over four decades, Jeannine found true joy in her work. Her clients were more than just patrons; they became cherished friends with whom she shared countless memories. Her salon chair was a place for friendship, lots of laughs, and genuine connection.

Jeannine had a deep love for music, which often filled her home. She found joy in sharing those moments with family and friends. She also had a natural gift for interior decorating, and found great joy in creating a warm, welcoming and tidy sanctuary. Her home reflected her artistic spirit, comfortable, beautiful, and always open to those she loved.

Above all, Jeannine cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and they always felt her unconditional love and support. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was known for making friends wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression of a warm smile and kind spirit.

She will be forever remembered by her son, Patrick Franken; daughter, Tiffany Owens and her husband Roy; grandchildren, Chandler and Avery Owens; her sister, Lois Ternes; brother, Kent Luedke, and his wife Barb; her sister, Gail Stevens, and her husband Larry; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Helen Luedke.
