James Charles Paul

James Charles Paul, 79, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on December 24, 2025. 

Jim will be remembered as a loving husband and father, who was dedicated to his family. Working as a chemical compounder and technical manager for nearly 50 years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber took Jim from Akron, Ohio, to Topeka, Kansas, and then overseas to Luxembourg and England. Jim eventually retired in The Villages, Florida, where many good meals and rounds of golf were shared with friends and family. 

Jim leaves behind four children. Matt (Christy) Paul of Wichita, Kansas, Melissa Kramer of Kansas City. Kansas, Mark (Tammy) Paul of Carmel, Indiana, and Marla (David) Devereaux of Tacoma, Washington, as well as 10 wonderful grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his loving siblings Margie Culbertson, Marion Casey, Melanie Paul, Hilary Simmons, Chuck Paul and sister in law Margie O’Brien.

Jim was preceded in death by Sally, his beloved wife of 60 years, his mother and father, Chuck & Marjory Paul and his brother, John Paul.  

After 59 years of celebrating Christmases, Jim and Sally are celebrating their 60th Christmas as they always have. Together.
